Subject: Running Question #2 - re: Toes burning/cramping
One more running question.  I have recently started getting serious cramping and burning in all the toes of my left foot, every time I run.  This never happened before, and I haven't changed to new shoes or added any major mileage, etc.  I did recently switch from conventional laces to Yankz...could this be the problem?  Are there any common causes of toe cramps/burning?  It doesn't ever happen in my right foot, only my left.

Are you pulling the new laces too tight? I get that kind of cramping in my left foot if I put my bikes shoes and running shoes too tight (even though they dont seem tight). I have to keep that one looser than the right foot. Wierd, but thats what I do.

I get cramping in my toes sometimes, and it's always because my toes aren't relaxed.  I actually have to think "Relax your toes"  "Relax your toes" as I run.

it's a strange fact but right feet tend to be a bit larger then left feet. that could be part of the reason why that's happening. Perhaps it's just time for a new pair of shoes, they are toast after about 800km and if you tend to land in the midsole/toes areas then it could just be fatigue in the sole of that area.
