Cindy K and Company...
If I'm still alive and functioning after the 1/2 I'll look for you by the gazebo. Glad I'm not the only nervous one out there This is for fun, right?

Headlamp...another thing to add to my list...

I'm signed up for the Half, but I'm doing the Oly. (!!!!) I will try to recognize you all there! Husband and dog will be in tow, so I may not have as much time to socialize as I'd like.

Good Luck everyone!!

I did the Lake Geneva 1/2. (1st race ever)

[1] Didn't have any trouble with sand on feet.

[2] I would not tie a balloon on your bike. Ya might as well just put a "kick me" sign on your back and start referring to yourself as Francis or Clarence (your pick). *grin*

I did lose my bike. I was set up to the left of the entrance and was looking on the right. I knew I was in the 2nd row. Just for fun, I asked someone, "Have you seen my bike?", and God Bless them they actually started looking around as if maybe they had. I told them I was joking, and they seemed relieved.

Losing my bike cost me ~2 minutes ... out of 7+ hours. Stupid double leg cramp mummy walk on the 1/2 Mary.

Looking forward to getting revenge on that damn course next year.

That's good. I like that. It was my first 1/2 and I've been calling it "stick-man run", cause, hey, I was SORTA running, anyway. Just couldn't bend my knees, that's all. Mummy run/walk might be better.
