Subject: Foot pain on bike ......cleat adjustment?

I realize it is difficult to give me a 100 % accurate answer, but anu insight would be great.

I have been noticing that while I have been on the bike for about 2+ hrs I begin to get a cramping/burning pain that is on the outside of my left foot that goes to my outside toes.  I do not have this any other time....I constantly need to adjust my foot to get some relief.

I realized that my right cleat (uninvolved side) makes my foot feel like the pedal is right over the "ball" of my foot, and my left the pedal feel a little bit closer to my toes slightly past the ball of my foot.

Do you think I should adjust the cleat to compensate?  If I remember correctly i did change my cleats around 6 months ago and I may not have been meticulous on positioning them

any thoughts ? thanks
