Although it's clearing out, I doubt I'll be biking outdoors today. The wind is still pretty serious, and I know there's a lot of flooding. Not a day for deep wheels

So what are the odds there's something on Netflix to watch while on the trainer?

Recovering from a bad race yesterday. Mentally and physically run down. And, school starts (for teachers) tomorrow. I think I'll sit on the couch and have a little pity party for the rest of the morning. Then I might take the cross bike out for an easy ride.

Just finished a 4 mile run (second one of my life). Going to try to get a swim/bike transition practice in this afternoon.

First supersprint tri is in 2 weeks!

36 mile ride this morning. Had a scare on the ride this morning. As I was climbing this hill a lady was biking down it with two large Chows following her. The dogs didn't bother me at all. On the way back I was screaming down this hill when I see the same lady walking her bike up the hill. I start wondering where her dogs are because the last thing I want to do is hit one of these dogs flying down a hill. I was to busy thinking about the dogs and I should have been thinking about this hairpin turn coming up. I was already into the turn before I knew I might be in trouble. I felt like one of those motorcycle racers that take turns with their knee almost scraping the ground. I actually made it without crashing but it took me a couple of miles.to regain my composure.

Recovering from yesterday's race.  Didn't sleep well last night due to repeated tornado warnings as Irene rolled over our area, but got an extra few hours late this AM.

16k run with my wife.  Wasn't sure how that would go since I raced yesterday but I had no issues.  Guess I should have raced harder....

Did a 26 mile bike/6.4 mile run brick in preparation for my first Oly in September. Thirty-two point four miles before noon, woot! That's a PB for me, in terms of volume; slowly getting up there!

My sweetie and I did a 17 mile bike ride. The first 13 miles was to the yogurt shop for a treat, then 4 miles home. Yep, we took the long way there to earn the yogurt. We were pedaling a little over an hour. Oh yea, it was stinking hot and windy during the ride! We were breaking in our new bikes and training for my first triathlon (sprint distance @ Nathan's event in Phoenix in 4 weeks). Will they have frozen yogurt at the aid stations? I am new at this! Does it show?

That sounds fun. I've wished before that there would be a Starbucks at the end of the race. So far, no luck. :-)

Ran almost 6 miles today. We were ten minutes late to church because of it, otherwise, I think I might have tried to go farther. It was a fun run. Miles 3 and 4 were along a very sandy road -- I mean like beach sandy. It was a little tough going. But I also felt amazing -- like I was just gliding along. During the 6th mile, the sweat was pouring into my eyes, and that was not fun. I need to figure out how to keep that from happening.

I hope everyone fares well during the flooding and storms associated with Irene. We are expecting storms tonight, but it will be nothing like what we had here.

Congrats to everyone who raced this weekend. Even a poor race is better than no race at all.
