Early weather forecast is for a high of 81 with a couple of thunderstorms.  Race start temps around 50 degrees.  Winds @ 2 mph from the north with gusts up to 14 mph.

Hopefully our super hot August has kept the water reasonably warm.

If the rain holds out, this should be great race conditions.

I'm excited and nervous and hope I've done enough!  First HIM for me...

Best of luck Todd! I am sure you will do great. I was going to sign at the last minute but someone beat me to it. I hope you have good weather.

Will also be there bright eyed and bushy tailed. I looked at the weather earlier this morning and was really glad it will be low. Hopefully we will be off the course before the T-storms.

Good Luck

I did it 2 years ago when it was FREEZING and started raining by the end of the run! Hopefully this year, the weather will be great! AND, I am really hoping the wind won't be too bad this year either. Those hills get nasty when there's lots of wind!

Best of luck FF Stock.  This is a fun Half.

I hope we don't have winds.   The last time I road it with winds it seemed like the last 20 had nothing but head winds.  Those hills get that little bitt harder with head winds.  At least the winds will make the run a little cooler.

Best of luck!  My first HIM as well.  Looking forward to the slip and slide at the end!!!!  Rode the course a few weeks ago.  Just be sure to save a little for the return on Quincy, that is where all the hills come.  Weather is looking favorable right now, but it is Colorado....

Wednesday weather update:  Now looking like high of 82 with no rain!  Start time should be low to mid 50s.  I'm sure it won't hit 82 until well until the afternoon so weather is shaping up great!

Best of luck everyone!  Haven't decided on the slip and slide yet   I'm in wave 5, red caps.  I will see all of the other colors of caps behind me I'm sure...

The athlete guide said wetsuit legal with water temp to be high 60's.  I don't know the actual temp.

Good luck, everyone! I'll be out there cheering with my little guy till about 10 or so. I'll probably have my Wheaties team gear on and will be accompanied by a short person who is a very enthusiastic cowbeller! :-)

I hope everyone has a GREAT RACE!!!

I will be wearing my Pikes Peak Tri Club kit.  If it is warm i will wear my Global bike jersey over my tri kit.

Unless I am suffering I will be cheering on just about everyone.   Slow or Fast.

Dean
