Good morning and it is indeed a good looking one. A little less humid, a little less hot.

Today is an afternoon ride, about 20 miles.

I hope everyone has a great week.

It's night here on the other side of the world. 3000m swim (1500m swim plus assorted repeats).  Got in the pool a bit early after work, and didn't want to get out---nice and "cozy" with monsoon rain pouring down outside. My favorite time to swim--not sure how a 25m indoor pool can be cozy, but it is!

Recovery day from Sunday's half marathon. Still feeling great and just got emails from both of my regular training buddies that they also PR'd yesterday! I have no idea where they disappeared to after the race, but that was great to hear.

A LBS about 45 minutes away had a powertap SL+ wheel and computer on sale for $999. I paid for it and will go pick it up today. Pretty sure I shouldn't do the LT test tonight, but I will go for a bike ride.

Mornin'!

Overcast, cool-ish, dreary, threatening rain, IOW perfect for a run.  Except I'm planning an SRD today.  Oh well.

Weekend:

Saturday:  5.8 mile trail run--beautiful out; almost stepped on a (to me) monster snake.  Probably a Northern Water Snake, sunning itself in the grass by the lake.

Sunday:  18 mile ride, started with two other guys, they dropped me like a bad habit.  Happens a lot.  Hey, I'm not a great rider--yet--but c'mon guys!  H*ll with those azzholes; I'm riding alone from now on.  The 9 miles back got me in a soaking rainstorm.  That was the most fun part of the ride.

Have a good one!

Good morning. I am stuck at work until 8:00 p.m.  I will try to sneak away sometime this afternoon to do something -- either a bike or a short run. I'm feeling pretty good after my "long" run yesterday. I am still surprised at how quickly the cardiovascular fitness comes along (I wasn't even breathing hard or sweating very much yesterday), but the legs are really slow to catch up. I feel ready for another long run, but I know my legs would disagree. :-)

I hope everyone has a great day today!

4.5 mile run/walk, my longest since I hurt my knee.

There's light at the end of the tunnel!

I rocked my 6am swim at the pool. Felt great and had better form (for me) still slow on the 100m split, but I will work on that in late winter early spring for next season with a Tri-specific masters program.

The best part of starting my day in the pool is that now I smell like cholorine... I really love the smell :-)

Have a great day BT'ers.

Long night not being able to sleep after some long night shifts with an ambulance crew and E.R shifts.

Today, it's nice and sunny, perfect biking weather. I'm hitting 50 miles and going for complete exhaustion by mile 49.9

the last .1 mile will be recovery

Hour-long swim done, while I shared the pool with the geezer water aerobics class (I especially enjoyed the shower caps over the hair, which, this being the deep south, I am sure was perfectly coifed).

Easy 30-minute run this afternoon. It will include plyometrics if it isn't raining.

I just came back from a week off after last weekend's HIM.  I am officially in "off season" mode- which means I am still s/b/ring, but not quite as far or long and throwing in a lot of strength training. This morning I went to the gym and lifted weights for the first time in about 7 months.  I have a feeling I am going to be sore tomorrow.

Just finished a nice 6 mile run in the overcast and cool outdoors.  This afternoon will do 45 minutes of swim.

Bowling night for me! 1st day of the winter league since bowling last May.  Almost a rest day but going to do some strength training after.  Did a long run in Z2 yesterday for about 8 miles with a small marathon group (2 miles longer than planned) and my body felt it slightly @ the 5-6 mile mark.  Focused on form and got me through it! =)

I started a 'run training' program, for about an hour this morning, from the local university rec services dept. This morning was a mix of running, stretching, core and strength work. I'll probably try to get out for an easy continuous run later this evening too.

Resuming my 5K run program after having to lay off for a couple weeks due to achilles problem.  Have since got new shoes that were fitted and recommended professionally.  Had no ill-effects from 4 mile walking session at the weekend, so hopefully everything holds up.

'Bout to go out for a 3hr ride and 20min brick run to check for nutrition.  Never used Hammer products and that's what they have at my next race.

Going with my brother (he'll also be racing) and I'll be helping him with his pacing for the run after the long bike.

Didn't get to work out this morning...didn't get to work out at lunch...so I have a 1 1/2 hour bike ride tonight, and a 40 min run after work today.  Not the way I wanted to start off my week.  Oh well, I'll make the best of it...just hope the wife understands...

Had a good set of commute rides today. Was a little wet going to work in a fine mist, but 55 and clear coming home. Felt great to be out on the bike in the cool night air.

1.5 hours of yoga and 1/2 an hour on the bike at the gym. Both were very hard after the bike/run yesterday. Muscles were tight and fatigued. Frown

3 miles at, supposedly, just under race pace.  Avg. 7:50/mile.  Not happy with that, especially on the final mile.
