Elite 3315 Miami | Subject: RE: BMC Drool fest. its a super bike. what do you expect. its like comparing a ferrari to a low end sports car. you can get an entry level bike for 1k, mid level for 2-4k and then super bike for like that for 10k the shiv frame is 6.1k + componenets and everything else i don't see going under 10k. just as an example. |

Retail at the time for the mod was 4899.00 and I picked it up for 2500ish. I ran SRAM Red on it. It was a nice bike, at the time Specialized had very few of them and the nose cone cracked and they were unable to replace it. I ended up having to swap back to a Wilier a month before Ironman. I would get the new one but I cant seem to figure out why Specailized lost the nosecone but then raised the price 1200.00. My only guess is that their announcement at Kona is going to be a tri specific Shiv. |

What's interesting is that I heard the new Slice "super bike" is going to come out with it's smallest size being 54cm. So they won't make that bike in a minature size for me. |
