Anyone not excited about this bike?  Looks so awesome.  Wish I was at interbike.

Gee thanks!  Now I've got drool all over my keyboard!

Sah-Weet whip!

BTW, jhouse4, love your avatar!  Are you a WI native, or...?  I live in IL, but I'm a born-and-raised Badger--Packer fan, Badger fan, raised on deer hunting.  The only anomaly is the fact that I'm a Cub fan, not Brewers.  Oh well!

its a super bike.  what do you expect.

its like comparing a ferrari to a low end sports car.  you can get an entry level bike for 1k, mid level for 2-4k and then super bike for like that for 10k

the shiv frame is 6.1k + componenets and everything else i don't see going under 10k.  just as an example.

What you "got it" for and what it retails or did retail for are often two different things....

Did you get a new 2012 Shiv with Di2 for 4K? I doubt it.

No, I had the 2011 model. Retail at the time for the mod was 4899.00 and I picked it up for 2500ish. I ran SRAM Red on it. It was a nice bike, at the time Specialized had very few of them and the nose cone cracked and they were unable to replace it. I ended up having to swap back to a Wilier a month before Ironman. I would get the new one but I cant seem to figure out why Specailized lost the nosecone but then raised the price 1200.00. My only guess is that their  announcement at Kona is going to be a tri specific Shiv.

Not excited......................There's no way I can afford it!

But thanks for getting me worked up!

BTW, you shouldn't be excited either.  They don't make them in COLOSSAL size for you.

I expect you to drool.  Next time I post a picture of a Ferrari on here...I also expect you to drool over that.  Just so we're clear ahead of time.

What's interesting is that I heard the new Slice "super bike" is going to come out with it's smallest size being 54cm.  So they won't make that bike in a minature size for me.
