However, I would say the two things to maintain focus on are consistency and frequency. Work on those, and volume will naturally starting working upwards. As for how much to add, or where to top out at, this is where goals and constraints come into play. If you can't run every day, and can only run for an hour or so most days, then that's what you work up to. If you can run twice a day almost every day, and have the opportunity to run for two hours once a week, and maybe 90 minutes another day, then work to that level. |
