Subject: A very nice bike to ride
A friend of mine is an owner of a Cervelo P2-SL and on IR. Since he cannot race, he has graciously offered it to me for the upcoming Oly. I'm drooling :-) I hope nothing bad happens when I ride it (pounding on wood)!!!

I was with him when he bought it and rode it once, we're the same size and it felt pretty good. I'll ride it at least twice before the Oly. I also need to get bike shoes now. My wife is going to kill me!

Just tell her being your friend can not race he SOLD the bike to you. After you tell her your joking and she calms down, you should be able to sneak the shoes in without too much fuss.

Over a pair of shoes? She's probably sighing with relief you didn't buy the bike..

Well, you see the 36" TV broke last week and I coherced her into a Sony 42" HDTV LCD Projection for 2k, added a DVD player while I was there, oh and the cable HDTV package. On Sunday the Gas Grill had it after 7 years and I again sweet talked my way into a $400 Weber grill. I mentioned that WE are due for new running shoes and that I need a new tri-suit. Trust me she's going to blow a gasket...

Perhaps you should start by cooking her a nice meal on the new grill, then watch a movie on the new TV.....

yeah a girly movie too...don't you dare try to sneak in the action packed man-fest. why don't you try what I do. Get a bunch of old stuff you don't use anymore, yes you probably have a bunch of it, you know what I'm talking about, and sell it on Ebay. Every time I sell something I keep a chunk for my gear.
