Comments: Started off around a 5 min/k pace, then slowed after about 2-3 mins. Ran based on HR which turned out to be a little quicker than my planned pace. By halfway I was still feeling good, but my HR was creeping up as planned. The last km was tough mentally as I was redlining with the HR in the 173-177 range which is about 104% above my run LT. This is about right for a 5k, but still tough. Legs felt fine though. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Walked around for 5 mins drinking some water, had a banana and a G2 Gatorade. What limited your ability to perform faster: My weight as usual. Race wt was 238 lbs. Last updated: 2010-11-24 12:00 AM

Race doesn't start till 11 AM. Had my usualy breakfast around 6 AM then had some things to do for a few hours. Left home around 9:40 AM & got there around 10 AM.
After checking in, a run about 10 mins with a few race pace strides. Legs felt good.
