Subject: Tri shoe recommendation for wide feet?

I'm currently wearing Lake CX220s in wide, but want to upgrade to a better, stiffer, tri-specific shoe. Most shoes I've worn in the past (Sidis, mainly) are too narrow for my feet, though. And since I live in Augusta, which is not exactly tri mecca, I can't just go out to the LBS and try on lots of different shoes.

Any wide-footed BTers out there have any recommendations?

I wear a EE running shoe and Luis Garneau and Shimano tri shoes fit great. I can't cram into Sidis either.

I just bought the Shimano tri specific.  They were the only tri specific shoe at the store.  They seem to have a bigger toe box area.  They are very comfy as well.  I also tried on a Sidi and my foot felt really cramped.

I'm like you. I have wide feet but no other brand, not sidi, shimano, nothing fit except Lake. I have the lake CX210 tri shoes, which is an older model. They are tri specific but not sure if that's what you are looking for.

Carnac makes shoes wider in the toe box area. Good luck, Jeff

Ahhh...didn't know Lake made a Tri shoe. And they even have a carbon sole model. Thanks!
