Ok, I admit it, when I was watching this and they showed the many people finishing, I started tearing up...yep I'm a baby. My emotions are already starting, nervous, excited, all the pain that they went through and I'm hopefully going to be one of those people.

I got this way last year before my first marathon and on race day I was nothing but happy, didn't cry at all during the race or after-I just wanted my beer. I suspect that unless I'm in terrible pain, I probably won't cry when I finish, just the week leading up to the race.

Anyone else get this?

I was thinking about your race when I was watching it, Aaron...except, of course, when they did the feature on my girlfriend, Desiree.

Haley, I was the same way. I would tear up on some of my long runs, just thinking of how I would feel when I got to the finish, but when I got to the finish it was all business. I finished then went for $.50 beers

As for the video, I think I saw myself on it. I have the video but only watched it once. Then I saw it again yesterday. I think it was right after they showed the pro getting a penalty for losing her #, then they cut to Al Sultan flying down the road. I was in the background (moving half as fast as he was)

I will watch it again to double check

Or how about where two of the top female triathletes, missed the last loop of the bike leg, started the run and were told they needed to get back on the bikes to finish the loop?

Now that would just plain suck.   And what's with the penalty with loosing a bib number on a windy course.  There are still numbers stuck to your helmet and bike has a placard...?
