Subject: 2 races - 2 places - WoHOO
Ran 2 5k's over the weekend. Both were on the same course. Funny how much the weather can influence you.

On Saturday 4/17/04, ran as part of a co-ed team in the RACE FOR CLEAN AIR that finished first. We won awesome New Balance Wind Breakers. We also had the 1st overall and 2 age group places. I finished 80th overall in 21:53. Not sure of my place in the age bracket b/c the results aren't on line yet.

On Sunday 4/18/04, I ran individually in the Dash for Organ Donor Awareness and finished 10th overall and 2nd in my age group ( 20 - 29). Didn't stick around for the awards. Am trying to see if I can still get my unknown award. I really don't care what it is. Just really excited that I won. My time was 22:12.

I biked 10 miles right before the Sat. race.
I was rested on Sunday but had to deal w/ an 85 degree sunny day.

That's great!  I found a double triathlon weekend in Lousiana.  Mountain bike, off-road run on Saturday, Road bike, road run on Sunday.  Some day I'll do that one . .

Your times look good - wish I could get my runs down to that level.

Good job
The next step is to do two races in the same day. I have done this a few times, but you can't really race both of them. One of our local races has a 5k at 8am and a 10k at 8:30. You can run the first run, get some water and make your way back to the start for the second run. I normally try to race the 5k and then try and keep the 10k nice and steady.
