Subject: It's time to train
Well, MS150 is over, we did great!!! Six hours less than time last year!!!! Now it's time to start training for my first sprint tri. I will be doing the 20 Week Sprint - 3x Balanced, but I am currently jogging and riding more than what is on the schedule, although the swimming will be added. Should i decreace the amount of jog/bike to follow the program, or keep doing what I am doing and just add the swimming?

Thanks
Joe

I would stay where you are with the cycling and running and do the swimming until it catches up.
No use going backwards unless you feel you would like a little break in cycling and running.

If you can already do the entire Bike/Run time of the Sprint program, I would start using the Olympic program, for you -maybe the swim focused plan. Then when you Spint Tri comes up, you should be able to breeze through it. Not to mention you'll be pushing yourself harder and gaining a higher fitness level.

i concure...i dont see why you couldnt do the oly...more in line with your current training volume.  if u know how to do freestyle decently BUT lack endurance, U CAN get up to distance by sept for an oly...?
