Off to the club for a workout, maybe get in a short ride if the sun dries things out. Patti & I are off to visit Ellen and hubby and have dinner with them. Will there be anything else to talk about besides triathlons? OK...I'll allow a couple minutes for the Red Sox.

Good luck Jen. (Moving all day - gie your body a nice long sleep tonight ay?) Max - Ellen - wish I could stop by but it's about a 20 hour drive.

Yesterday's swim was good, but putting together a cart for my garden tractor took the place of my bike and run - today - dig dirt, move dirt and hope rain holds off for a bike and run.

Off on my six hour drive to my first 10k race in over 10 years!!! I'm so pumped!!!
I'm nursing a mild knee injury ( why do they pop up 4 days before race day?), so will rest today and drive the course a couple of times and pick up my race package.
Going to scout the bike shops for some road tires for my MB. Whooo Hoooo...race, tri-gear shopping and a road trip to the big city all in one weekend!! Does it sound like I'm from a small village, deep in the woods???

Today's plan:

long bike ride -50 miles? (This is the first long ride of the season, so we're being flexible about the distance. We'll go until we've used up half our energy, then turn around and come home. Very scientific training, this.)
some yoga to stretch out with, when we get home

(Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me!!)

Abandoning normal intensive workout day to participate in a Rebuilding Together project (think habitat for humanity, but not from the ground up--more of a rehabilitate for humanity.)

I figure that will be an equitable substitute!!

registered with USAT today, and my first tri, a short one on may 29 400m swim, 9 mile bike, and 3 mile run. I hope my training gets me there in time, in a brick friday I only made it 2 miles on the treadmill after 800m swim. I guess knowing where I have to be in a month will keep me motivated on those hateful early monday morning training sessions. Happy weekend and training everyone

Good luck Jen and Dolly. Slay 'em!

1500 m swim, 2-mile run, 1hr spin class, 1hr weightlifting class. Now it's off to raise some weighted glasses to the masses. Have a good day all and good luck on races!
