East Coaster here! Caribbean coast that is.

Getting ready for a long run. How come your post says 5:04 PM and it's still early in the AM? Could it be the server time needs adjusted?

Yep, I think the server time needs to be switched from PM to AM.

I'm up too. I worked out a deal with the folks at the pool in the next town, so after my health club workout this morning, I'm going over there to swim some laps. They're charging $20 per month to use the facilities, so I'll probably only need May and June and then I can be outdoors at the local swimming spot.

It's my 2nd anniversary today. Yeah!

Going for a run at lunch -- hopefully 50 - 55 minutes -- so I can spend a nice quiet evening with Hubby.

Sigh... I did not a single thing yesterday, except physical therapy. I started to feel sick and was very susceptible to the "you need a rest day" scenario that was playing in my head. I'm not feeling much better today. Nothing bad... just that ache-y bad-cold sort of sickness. But I'm going to take it easy again today, probably. The world won't come to an end... right???

I just came off a needed 2-day rest myself, Andrea and had the BEST workout today! Do whatever your body needs
As for today, I had a wonderful spinning class and then ran 2 miles - my second brick ever! I am going to try to build them in once a week from now till July (race day)!

Good morning from sunny California!
Plan is for an easy 30 min trail run after work today...weather should be around 80 degrees...we've had a rash of mountain lion attacks on horses in the area so I'm a bit nervous but the trail complex I run at is very crowded daily. Feeling good after my long ride and swim on Sunday. My tri is in 6 short weeks! Yikes!

Turns out when the weather guy says it is 101 degrees outside that is some kind of code for you really shouldn't be outside running. HOT! Ran 40 minutes in the heat yesterday afternoon. I think I finally stopped sweating this morning when I hit the pool. As a part of my pool workout I was able to swim a continuous mile. Even put in some drills and cool down after. Very happy with that considering how bad I was when I first started swimming in February.

I couldn't log on this morning when I tried.  So I hauled my unhappy self to the pool for a brief 1000 yards.  Shared a lane with 3 other people.  YUK  I can't figure out how it happened in my lane only.  All the others had no more than 2 people.  The 4th to join us saw that we already had 3 and figured 1 more wouldn't matter.  Talk about pressure to perform!

Supposed to run today too, but it will have to wait until tomorrow.  I am meeting Evelyn (everunning) after class

THe in-laws are preventing me from exercising, as is my job. I'd like to get rid of these barriers. Can anyone arrange that?

And what a happy anniversary it is! There's a full moon tonight and when I get home, I get to eat steak, broccoli, corn with a glass (or 2) of Liberty School cab sav and B&J chubby hubby ice cream for dessert. Oh yeah, I get to do all of that with Hubby! I think that was all the motivation I needed to run 55 min today at lunch!

I'm just all smiles today.

Hmm. I bet that if you told your boss and in-laws that you've loaded up on baked beans and are ready to explode, they'd be only too happy to let you go "work everything out." Or maybe you can tell them that you've been hijacked by a terrorist and if you don't exercise for at least 1 hour straight, you'll be blown up. Or maybe you'll just have to count this as an early rest week.

Good luck!

Having problems getting myself out there. I keep thinking, "Just get dressed for exercise." This seems to get a bit of momemtum going off the couch and towards the tri training road. I bet I can run slower than anyone, but lately I've been trying to pick up my speed. Ran 15 minutes and biked 40 minutes today.

Rest day for me.  Saving my energy for a15k bike time trial tomorrow...1st bike workout with the multisport group this year.  I am sure the wind will be blasting as usual, and we will be exhausted at the end.  Should be great!

Cathy, I think you should tell your in-laws that you will be outside pruning the back of the bushes in the yard.  Then you wouldn't have to be visible, and could take off and work out.  You could fake the evidence by showing up with branches that you cut off already.  And you would be sweating, showing everyone how hard you were working!!
