I am never sure what to do for the 30 minutes I can get in on lunch at the pool. How about a little help? I a fairly slow, my 50 yard freestyle time is now ~43 seconds (and that is flat out). I can do a so-so backstroke, and an ok butterfly. The YMCA I can go to has kickboards, pull buoys, and flippers.

What might be come workouts?

Maybe this could be Workout by Committee .

I actually use this workout (or something very close to it) pretty frequently and it sounds like we're about the same pace.  It usually takes about 30 minutes for me with 30-60 seconds rest in between sets.

200 Warmup
500 Free
100 Fingertip drag
100 Zipper drill
100 Closed Fist
100 Kick on my back
200 Cool down

Also for what it's worth, I keep a sandwich bag w/ note cards in my gym bag.  I write various swim workouts down on the cards and I can set the bag on the side of the pool to keep track of what I'm doing for that workout.  This way, I can focus more on my swimming and less on what I'm gonna do for my workout.  Enjoy the lunch swim!!
