Was going to wait until next spring to try my first tri (due to shoulder injury), but after testing it in the pool...I'm gonna give it a go this season. I chose the Lake Geneva WI super sprint for my first...what is a good middle of the pack time on a supersprint? I'm decent on the bike, okay running, and working on my swimming...any tips, advice encouragement?

Well, I went to the website of this triathlon and the fastest time was 1:18, the slowest was 5 hours +. So I guess I'd say go for somewhere in between that time!!

JK--in any case, it's helpful to look at the previous years results--compare a bit to some of your training runs, and then figure out your goal from there. I did notice that they had the average time for all finishers, which was 1:59:55. Oh, wait. That was for the sprint and you said super sprint didn't you? Well look for that, and if the supersprint is a new distance, use your calculater to make the adjustment for the distance! :-)

Best to you, and take care of your shoulder!!

I was musing about joining in on the super sprint there -but I signed up for the one in Chicago the next weekend. Probably back-to-back weekends exceeds my abilities at this point. But I can come cheer you on, if you like!
