Elite  2796     Texas |  Subject: Please remember our girls soccer teamPlease remember and pray for our high school girl's soccer team today. Their bus crashed on the way to a playoff game Wednesday, killing two girls and sending several to the hospital with serious injuries. They are amazing, courageous kids. |

I got some very sad news this Monday as well...a girl that I knew from classes/ student newspaper/ Greek life died in a car crash on the way home from Spring Break. Otterbein has been hit hard by student deaths in the past year...last spring a girl in my com theory class died from a serious illness, and at christmas last year a freshman football player was killed on christmas morning by a drunk driver. The our dean of students had a sudden heart attack and died. Its been a rough year, the campus is hurting. Its like as soon as the healing process starts, it gets ripped open again. |

I could not pull myself from the news yesterday afternoon. This is so sad. They called us but we couldn't fly due to the heavy storms. They arrived in our ER about an hour after the accident. I'm going to see them this morning. |
