Actually, last year I tied for 3rd... which was a very interesting way to finish the race, to say the least. Some guy came up behind me so fast and so hard that he litereally tripped and slid chest first over the timing mat. The USAT official standing there was like "umm... never seen that before. If you check out the results, you'll see that our official times are exactly the same. Anyways, I'll be pre-riding and running the course the Saturday immediatly before the race - if anyone wants to come out and join, please send me a PM or an email and we can cooridinate! See you all out there! |

| Expert 842 | Subject: RE: Shamrock Duatlhon: 2006 Duathlon National Championship series race! Sounds like guys had a great time. I'm just hoping it doesn't rain this year. I had owned my road bike for a whole two weeks and I was terrified during the bike. My feet were so numb I think I could have run the second loop without shoes and not noticed the difference. I was planning on riding the course this upcoming weekend but I have company coming up so I am not ure if I can make it. I will have to play it by ear. Mark |
