Comments:

Well the "mismarked course" says it all. I'd have done a little better if they hadn't mismarked it. I missed first place in my AG by like three seconds. The first place guy was with me the whole race. I passed him, he passed me...like four times. Last part of the race I slacked off and almost caught him at the finish, but he got there first. Oh well, second in AG is still good. 12th overall...I like it.

Because the course was mismarked, I missed the only waterstop on the course. Not that I would have taken any, but now that I think of it, maybe stopping to dump some on my head would have been a good thing. It was VERY hot out there...no shade at all.
What would you do differently?:

Keep up with number one!!
Post race
Warm down:

LOTS OF WATER!!! A couple of ice pops. More water...

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The heat and the mismarked course. My first mile was 6:46, second was 7:04, third was like 8 minutes...water would have helped. It was very hot.

Event comments:

Hardware was a mug. It said "Runner Up". Gee...couldn't it just say "2nd Place"??? Oh well. This was a "7th annual" race, you'd think they'd have more organization to it...mismarked course after 7 years? SHEESH!!!
