Subject: Got my little sister excited about triathlon!

So I posted on fb last week about my swim workout.  I have a 16-year-old half-sister who is on a swim team, and she asks me why I was swimming.  I told her I was working on winter maintenance for triathlon training, and she asked how far you have to swim for a tri.  I told her about the four main distances of tri, and invited her to visit next summer and do a sprint with me and my husband.  So then a couple days ago she posts on fb "Goal in life: become an ironman."

Woo hoo!!

I think that is a great gift to give a young person. 

I'd really like to get my grandsons interested in participating.  My oldest grandson (13) volunteered with us for 5 days at Ironman Canada and had a great time this year.

Superb!! Way to role model for the youngsters. I eagerly anticipate the first time I get to take someone to a race who became interested in triathlon through my joy of the sport.
