Good morning!!!

4:15am:  warmup
4:30am:  5 mile run
5:30am:  Insanity Cardio Abs

At the halfway point until Christmas vacation...yes!!!  Since my Turkey Trot 5K was so fun, today I'm announcing to the kids a Jingle Jog 5K Saturday, Dec. 17th.  This time the registration won't be free...it'll cost them a can of food or a donated article of clothing for our local food bank.  Good times!

Have a great training day!

Nothing, squat, de nada. Got pedicure, ate chocolate, lay on couch. Wrote race report for my miserable half marathon. Discovered today I was fifth overall, which is actually the best I've placed at that event. But still unhappy about training all year to get seven seconds slower. Day off seems to be helping as it's past 8 and I don't feel like I've been drugged, then hit by a truck, which is basically how I've been feeling for the past 10 days. Committed to swimming tomorrow as our "tri club"  (all three of us) has made a date of it! Will think about running this weekend.

45 minutes spinning on the trainer while watching Walking Dead. Was doing some one leg drills and while resting my disengaged leg on the trainer it unhooked the bike from the trainer and I promptly fell on my @ss. Luckily everybody else in the house was asleep.

4:45 - Woke up, got out of bed, dragged a comb across my head.
5:00 - 3 miles running through the neighborhood. I have determined that my form is so bad that if I keep trying to run I will only screw up my knees worse then they already are. So I now have to think about form and foot strike while I am running. At what point in my life did running stop being a natural function and become an overanalyzed annoyance? Oh yeah, it was when I determined that I need to be better at it.

Kim, good luck on your Jingle Jog. I hope there is lots of participation.

Enjoy the day.

Rest Day!

I feel as though I needed it pretty bad.  I needed that extra hour of sleep this morning.

One of my first real swim workouts tomorrow...pretty excited/nervous about that.

1.2 mi swim then straight to 5.10 mi run. Loose friendly black lab took out my left leg at mi 4 but no harm and a few licks to the face and all was foregiven.
