So, I went on a quest for some tri-shorts this weekend:
Dicks - no
Dunhams - no
REI - no

So, um, does anyone know where to get tri-shorts in town? I'd order off the web, but I'd kind of like to try some on to make sure I'm getting the right size first.

first choice: Fleet Feet, on Old Sauk (next to a chipotle's!)

2nd: Machinery Row Bicycles

Also, REI will soon have some Danskin Tri stuff as they are a sponsor of the Danskin Tri series

hahahahhahaha....don't ask me....I'm abnormal.  I think Middleton Cycle and Fitness has some threads too, but I"m not sure.  Trek has a "few" items by TYR and Pearl.  I'm on a quest to find shorts as well.  It's not working.

PS- I HATE DICK'S.  When I was directed to the "Nike Buyer" I understood why immediately.  She had no idea what anything was or, get this, the three sports that comprised triathlon.  She's about 16 years old and thinks athletic wear consists of pink cotton capri pants and flip flops.  Not impressed.  If you don't need help finding anything or only need the basics the place is not so bad, but customer service SUCKED!

sorry....i had to get that off my chest

Actually, that's pretty much how my REI experience went as well. One kid directed me to another kid who said, "Um,...well, these shorts can get wet. But, I'm not really sure what tri shorts are." *sigh*

I just got back into town after a very nice vacation, so I haven't made it to Fleet Feet yet, but I guess I'll be checking it out.
