haha Jasen! you have me cracking up over here...I remember when I first saw you at the JCC Firecracker sprint tri carrying your bucket into transition...i was thinking 'damn, beast mode, busting out a bucket to transition, he must be fast!'...not like my noob who bought a tri specific transition bag Foot in mouth

Right?? And here I was thinking how smart I was being bringing my bucket when no one else was...LOL!! Oh, well...As long as I impressed one person, I'm good. I will see you in a couple of weeks at the JCC. Just look for the dude with the bucket.  Wink

Fellas - when you walk in to the transition area carrying NOTHING but an empty bucket in your left hand with "WHAT?? M'FER!!" written in sharpie, pushing your bike by the seat with your right hand, ONE water bottle with some glowing lime green liquid on the downtube, helmet on head, running shoes on feet, bike shoes on pedals, towel around your neck, goggles on your bicep, sneer on your face behind the banana hanging out of your mouth, ignoring anyone who even tries to speak to you, not a sock to be found...trust me, no matter what you read here..... nobody is laughing at the new guy. Laughing

BrianRunsPhilly - 2012-02-11 7:59 AM OK I need to ask. If you need to sit, why not sit on the grass in front of your bike?

Not only have I never participated in a tri with a grassy transition, but I've never SEEN a tri with a grassy transition...Of course, I live in AZ where our "lawn" is all rock.

IM Louisville is a very high profile race that has a grassy transition area..............

Your response of "you're missing the point" a few posts ago would actually be very applicable here.

I should have left out the grass part. Extra words to nitpick!Sit on whatever surface is in front of the bike. Not like people who pee on their bikes should ever worry about getting dirty

And IM Arizona is a very high profile race that has a concrete transition area......What's your point?

EDIT: Actually, that's incorrect...it's a dirt/dead grass transition. Not sure what is better...still don't know what your point is.

Dude, read the bold type.  How could I have made it any easier???????

He's saying the ones by him do not have grass, not that there aren't any courses in existence without grass. Should I have bolded that part in my last response?

Ummm, dude?? Read my post...You could have made it easier by actually having a point that had something to do with the bold that you so kindly pointed out. What, you think that I don't know that some transition areas have grass??? Not only did I capitalized "SEEN" for you, but I also clarified that in my area we have very little grass. There's not much more I could have done to make it easier for you, dude...

Are you knuckleheads having a slap fight about grass in a transition area?  Please, let's focus on the stinking bucket.  Thanks.

Nothing screams "noob poster" like arguing over grass in a bucket thread.
