Subject: spare wheel/tire - keep at pressure or not?
I am currently doing 99% of my riding indoors on a trainer and I have a dedicated wheel/cassette/trainer tire combo that I use for that.  My regular wheel/cassette/tire sits in a closet until I go outdoors (which hasn't been in over a month).  Should I:
  • keep this tire at pressure (110psi) while it's in the closet?
  • deflate the tire while keeping everything assembled?
  • forget about it and just pump it back up to 110psi whenever I do put it back on the bike (i.e. let it slowly lose pressure over a period of weeks?

Just curious as to what I should be doing.

Ignore it and pump it up when you're going to use it. It's not a problem. Butyl tube assumed.

If it's a latex tube, then take it out and coat it in a light breading of corn starch or talcum powder. Ever had a couple/pile of swim caps sit there for a year? They fuze and become one with each other.
