Subject: Garmin cadence monitor not working properly

Hi all,

I have tried multiple things to make my Garmin cadence sensor to work properly but it seems that something is wrong. I changed the battery, the set up, don't know if anyone has had a similar issue and will share how it was fixed.

Has it ever worked for you or did it just stop working? Mine has been working fine, but for some reason, the cadence stopped working on Sunday. Everything else works fine - the speed, distance and heart rate. I sent an email to Garmin for tech support. If I can't get mine working today and don't hear back from tech support, I'm bringin it in to my shop. Call/email them and see if they can help you troubleshoot it, otherwise, send it back - maybe you got a lemon unit.

Mine seems to stop now and again.  Generally re-pair it with the watch and it's fine.

I have an Edge 500 and find that I have to sometime hit Rescan in order for my unit to recognize the cadence meter.

Try to re-pair as noted above.  Also, your monitor might be out of alignment with the magnet.  Mine has a very small "connection window."  One mm to the left or right and it won't work.  It's that sensitive.
