The ones that come with the iPod are awful...need some that stay in my ears on windy runs. I seem to have maybe slightly smaller than average ear canals.

Headband style is even ok! What do you guys like?

Yurbuds are my favorite...they don't go all the way in your ear canal, hindering your hearing ability, and they NEVER come out of my ear on runs, workouts, etc.  These are the ones I have:

It's the $29.99 Yurbuds Focus.  Oh and one more thing, there's no annoying thumps when the wires bounce up and down (I think this is called audiophonics, but not sure lol).  My favorite headphones ever

Those look great. Because they are actually ear-shaped, not just "pretty" like Apple ear buds. And I know that thump sound...hate that too!

I have gone thru a lot of different earbuds/headphones over the years. I liked my yurbuds for about a month. Then they started to slip out of my ears. Tried every Sony, Panasonic, etc, they make. The only ones that work for me are the kind that hook over your ear and the bud sits inside your ear. There is no way they can fall off and you kind find them cheap. It doesn't matter what brand as long as the ear hook is comfy for you.

My LRS carries the yurbud inserts, so you can use them with any regular earphones, like the iPod ones. They attach easily. I think they are $20.

Looks like those are called enhancers. They aren't on yurbud's site, so they may be discontinued.

Have had mine for about a year and a half now and love them.  Noticed them at Walmart today also offered in blue and white, price has come down from when I purchased mine as well.

Guess I'm a lucky one as I've just used the Ipod earbuds for 5 years.  I never have an issue with them falling out.  Sound is OK athough I am sure there are better out there but I have them low when training anyway.

Good luck,

Dune

I had similar problems with ear buds.  Couldn't find a pair that would stay in my ear.  I went to the clip on style.  They have an earpiece that holds them onto the ear.  The only downside I've found is that they go the same place on my ear that my sunglasses do, but it's not uncomfortable for both of them to be there.

These are the exact ones in my workout bag right now.

gvey - 2012-02-27 12:19 AM I use the Skullcandy cheapies. They cost about $10 a set and will last for 8 or 9 months. Then I buy a new set. They stay in well and come with different size "plugs" that go in the ear. You pick the best fit.

This^

I use skullcandy 'inked'.. They are like 15ish and last around a year plus.. These are the only buds that actually fit my head and fit well.

I prefer to not use earbuds in both my ears while training outdoors, so use One Good Earbud.

Thanks for the recommendations. I feel like I'd be more confident with the over-the-ear style...but agree about the sunglasses issue. I've worn sunglasses with a headband though, and that wasn't a problem...
