Saw this on the other site. I normally don't cross-post stuff, but this is worth it if we can get some more eyes on this guy's foundation. There's a link at the bottom of the article to the foundation website.

Thanks for sharing that.  One of my sons has CP and I have many days when I worry so much about his future.  Stories like this really helps me see how much is possible for him if he wants it.

Great read!  Not to hijack the thread, but it is related: This year I'm raising money for United Cerebral Palsy of Cleveland, the official charity of the Cleveland Triathlon.  Lots of families participate with their children (who have CP) and hundreds of thousands of dollars were raised last year alone.  Check out their site.  It's amazing to see what the most affected children can do when battling CP!  http://www.ucpcleveland.org/giving-and-volunteering/participate/team-ucp-at-the-cleveland-triathlon/?phpMyAdmin=-UFW7XElZ-N7mzUWqT5rorVt0Pe

This is hands-down, the best event I have ever participated in.  It would be great to see more triathlons like this!

My son also has mild cerebral palsy.  When he was growing up he went through multiple procedures, progressive casting and braces on his bad leg.  He never once complained or felt sorry for himself.  Today he's a University of Florida graduate working in Washington D.C.  He's completed a couple of 1h:30m half marathons and can whip his old man.  He's my hero.
