I have a stress fracture in the heel and in a heavy boot for the next few weeks.  I can't run or bike.  So I've been going to the pool more often and I decided that after my swim workout I can aqua jog.  My cousin had the aquajog belt and she gave it to me.  So I put on the belt and I "ran" for 30 mins.  Problem was that I really didn't start breathing hard.  I would imagine that if I was doing it correctly I'd have been huffing and puffing like a real run.  Is that so?  Should I ditch the belt?

You're not going to get your heart rate up like land running, but it should FEEL as difficult (actually harder) than running.

Here's a good guide and some ideas for workouts while you recover:

mmmm...yes and no? In some ways, it's less of a strain. Your HR will be lower, for sure. I second looking at Pfitz's plan and explanations. I've used it for years, and it's spot on, IMO.
