Bummer of a day for me, another Saturday at the office Frown, my profile pix is fitting!

Was hoping I could find some streaming video (how can there not be, come on).  There's text updates at Ironman.com

It will be interesting if Lance can hold off Bennett on the run.

Sure sounds tough on the bike course "Lance Armstrong has just gone by the 20 mile marker. The wind is so strong that even he's weaving across the road. (So, if the world's greatest cyclist is struggling ... what does that mean for everyone else in this race?)".

Let's see how much of a lead he can get into T2...

The recent island song with some rapping was interesting.  My kids call country with rap Crap, I wonder what they would have though up for that one!

The music and commercials are interesting.

What 15' of each hour is the coverage?

The new type of athlete tracker with the black background I have found. Is the old type available for this race?

Not really 15', more like a scattering of break-ins though out, expected a bit more.

Not sure on the tracker...

They keep talking about the winds. June is the 2nd windiest month on the big island behind September. It's windier in June than in October.

"Greg Bennett remains in third, but we're not sure exactly how far behind he is. We're guessing the gap is about five minutes. Behind him is Maik Twelsiek, who finally seems to be gaining a bit on the all the men ahead of him - other than Armstrong."

Don't know why, but this made me laugh.  Yes ladies and gentlemen, he is catching up on everyone not named Armstrong.  Tongue out

It's good news for Lance that he's so far ahead. But not such good news that he's so far ahead of Lieto -- having Lieto able to hang with him on the bike would be useful for Lance in Kona in October.

Proof Lance was just cruising at FL, another 2:01 on a much harder ride!

Now was ~3:00 into the run enough of a lead over Lieto???

Wow...6 minutes is a LOT to gain in a half marathon. If LA is planning on running a 1:15, Bennett is going to have to throw down a sub 1:10. Doable, but that is pretty darn quick, especially since the cycling conditions were pretty brutal.

Barring injuries, this race is going to come down to the wire.

What the heck happened to him? He's losing incredible amounts of time. I hope he isn't injured.
