Subject: RE: I train so I can eat whatever I want! Really??? I eat whatever I want, but I eat only a whole foods, vegan diet. I splurged on vacation last week and had tortilla chips, beer and one bread roll at dinner. I enjoy wine occasionally. I don't eat refined/processed carbs. My general rule is if it has an ingredient list - needs explanation - I don't eat it. One exception is Lara Bars because they're 3-4 unprocessed/uncooked ingredients just blended into a bar. Even though I am vegan I don't eat "fake meats" - no tofu, seitan, or any of that other processed fake meat crap. I will have tempeh maybe once/month because it's just a fermented soy bean. Because I have a thyroid problem and food allergies (dairy, wheat, egg) I can't indulge in things I used to love like pizza. But I just don't really miss it at all. I believe diet is MORE IMPORTANT than exercise. Diet is king, exercise is queen. Together you have a kingdom. Plenty of athletes have died from their bad eating habits. Exercise can only help curb a bad diet so much, at some point you will pay the reaper. Andi |
