I eat whatever I want, but I eat only a whole foods, vegan diet.  I splurged on vacation last week and had tortilla chips, beer and one bread roll at dinner.  I enjoy wine occasionally.

I don't eat refined/processed carbs.  My general rule is if it has an ingredient list - needs explanation - I don't eat it.  One exception is Lara Bars because they're 3-4 unprocessed/uncooked ingredients just blended into a bar.

Even though I am vegan I don't eat "fake meats" - no tofu, seitan, or any of that other processed fake meat crap.  I will have tempeh maybe once/month because it's just a fermented soy bean.

Because I have a thyroid problem and food allergies (dairy, wheat, egg) I can't indulge in things I used to love like pizza.  But I just don't really miss it at all.

I believe diet is MORE IMPORTANT than exercise.  Diet is king, exercise is queen.  Together you have a kingdom.  Plenty of athletes have died from their bad eating habits.  Exercise can only help curb a bad diet so much, at some point you will pay the reaper.

I gain weight just from looking at carbs and sugar lol. I do not train for any event now, since I really want to became a good tennis player this summer.

I run 15-20 miles a week, swim 1 h , play tennis 3-4 hours a week and lift two hours a week. I eat no more than 1500 calories a day and struggle to not to gain any weight. Now I  weigh 145 pounds. I'm 5.7. I would love to lose 15 pounds.

Disagree, for two reasons:

one, exercise stimulates the cardio vascular system, diet doesn't.

two, if you're on a weight loss program, it's better to exercise more than cut down on calories: Cutting down on calories also means cutting down on other nutrients you need, vitamins and minerals.

So, I'd always recommend, do more exercise over eat less.

ok, you may have meant "what" and not "how much", absolutely, get healthy calories, avoid saturated and trans fats, simple sugars etc.

Cheers, Erik
