pschriver - 2012-07-12 11:08 PM If the weather holds up I would be happy to do the Paris Mountain loop after race on Sat if anyone else is interested. Another option I have considered is riding to the Winery in Pickens after the race. I just need to get in a few extra miles.

I am not racing this weekend....but thought about trying to get a group together somewhere next weekend to get the ball rolling.  I am supposed to do a 2:30 ride and a 30 Minute run.....but can adapt to whatever others want to do.

Who would be up for a ride next weekend (the 21st?).  I will throw out meeting at 6:30 somewhere to see if that works for others...beat the heat and avoid traffic.   We can find a happy medium on how long to ride......post your interest and ideas on location.

...and if 6:30 is too early we can move it back.....open to whatever....just think it would be good to get together and ride and possible run after.  If we want to ride around 101, I can drive around there and find a store/church where we could park...for those who would not ride there.  I know there is a church over there that is empty Saturday mornings.  Again....if anyone has a different loop they prefer....we can do that to.

Who is in for doing something next Saturday?  I will start by saying next Saturday (the 21st), 7:00 am wheels rolling.  2 hour bike with a 20-30 brick.  Location tbd.

Not to try and compete with your group but I usually have to stay within an hour distance from my work in Pickens. I do a long ride on either Sat or Sun. I do a 20 mile loop multiple times until I reach my scheduled distance. If anyone wants to join in for a loop or four they are welcome. We would meet at the Pickens Y.

Understood about staying close to work.  I may join you from time to time if your cool with that.  Any others in the Greenville area wanting to ride next Saturday?

I'm in for next Saturday.  I'm looking to do around 30 if that sounds good to you.  I'm up for a brick as well, but might cut out at 15 or so.

If we're still talking about a Furman/Paris Mtn. loop next Saturday, I'd definitely be up for that. I need to ride the mountain a few times to see if I can do the race there in Aug. I'm bib #114 at tomorrow's race; it sounds like you guys will be nearby.

Looks like we will have 3 or 4 Saturday morning around 6:30 or so to do a 2:00 ride and a 20 minute Brick.  Still finalizing a spot....and you can do more or less mileage/time....we can figure that out later.  Just throwing down an idea.  This will be in the Greenville area....thinking out to 101 and ride around there.  More details to follow but speak up if you may be interested.....and pm me so I can get your email address.  Tri Bikes, Road Bike, Tricycles,  Unicycles, whatever  you have.  Lets get this thing going!!

I'm interested too..PM Sent.

BTW if anyone rides loops during the week at Clemson ICAR, let me know...I ride there all the time. We can try to coordinate some TT intervals and chase each other to alleviate the boredom.

uh....yeah...you can keep up for sure....I saw your times at Furman.  We will be looking at your back all day.   A few guys are on road bikes.  We may have 6...7 if you join us...4 confirmed.......and this is not going to be lightning fast.  Im guessing 18 mph average based on the roads out there....just a guess.    Just want to build a group and then we can worry about splitting into groups based on speed later.

Grab your road bike and come join us.  Send me a PM with your email address and I will send you the specifics.  We are riding at 6:30 and riding 2:00 hours and doing a 20 minute run off the bike.   Once we build the group we can work on a convenient location for everyone involved....as I know this may be a haul for you from Clemson.   It would be cool if we can get a group going....meet for Open Water Swims/Bike and or Run on the weekends.  As long as you don't mind being slowed down while we figure things out, come on out!

Alright....off to a good start.  Had 6 this morning for a 30 mile ride and a 20 minute run.  Some are out of town next weekend.  I have a group email started with the names of everyone so I will be sending that out during the week to see if anyone is interested in doing something Saturday and/or Sunday mornings.  We discussed an Open Water Swim / Bike  / Run sometime soon as well.

If you are interested in being on the email list, shoot me a PM and I will add you.

Adios.

Sent an email to those who I have email addresses for.  Hoping to round up a few people to do a long ride Saturday morning.  The last time we rode, we averaged 17.3....so figure somewhere around there.....can speed up a little or slow down as needed.....just wanting to get the miles in.  Let me know if you are interested.  Just emailed the group last night and have not heard back from everyone.

Had a good 50 mile ride today, followed by a 5k run with 4 other BTer's this morning.

If anyone else is interested in getting on the email list for future training rides/runs.....PM me.   Saw a few solo riders out in the 101 area.....if you were one of them, you should ride with us instead of alone!!

May find an alternate route.....the dogs were out in force today.

Yeah, it had to have broken it. I've ridden by that house before and it was chained up. That morning chasing us was probably the most fun he's had in months, unfortunately.

Clempson was nice enough to slow down and do 60 @ Donaldson Saturday.  Was wanting to do the same....with a little run after.  If anyone is interested, let me know!  I've emailed the group.

I will be moving to the Greenville area next month and would love to actually train with people versus by myself.  I look forward to meeting everyone and riding the roads.  Till then I guess I will be a lurker and watch the boards.
