Hi! So I just stumbled upon this site and saw that this thread was started in July, but I'm wondering if I'm too late to join? I run and always see other solo runners out on the Swamp Rabbit Trail and always think about trying to start a group. Do you guys mainly bike or do you run too? I'm just trying to figure it all out! Thanks!

Hell no you are not too late to join!!   The more the better.  We still only have a handful and things have tailed off since most races are over.  There is usually at least a couple of people riding on the weekends......Saturday we had 4.  We haven't run together other than BRICKS but I am sure we will....a couple of us are signed up for IMFL so we will be dealing with long training weekends.  PM me your information and I will add you to the email distribution (not all are on Facebook).  Are you just running or are you doing tri's as well?

Has anyone begun their training for 2013?  I'm in the Greenville area (Simpsonville), and I think I've had it for the solo runs....I need someone to run with.

i've started, but not running again since both my feet decided to develop tendinitis a month apart.  once i start back i may be interested in doing some easy long runs on the weekend.

I'm about a month into this year's traing. Where do you normally run?

well I live in the 5 forks area, so I do most of my running through tuscany falls; it's a 2-mile loop, so I can do up to about 6 miles without getting totally bored.  If it's anything over 6 miles, I'll usually run down scuffletown south towards fountain inn, but I try to do this in the daytime.

I actually live really close to you. I'll PM and see if we can work something out for rides/runs. We've got a few others here on BT that have done some group rides/runs in the area, but we haven't gotten together over the Winter. I'll PM you and see if we can set something up.

Starting up training this week.  Took the winter off to cross-train and just make sure I didn't burn out.  Signed up for Clemson and ready to go now!

Ran on the Swamp Rabbit Trail this morning with Jamie but the parking under the 123 bridge over Reedy View Drive (Kinda dirt area that pretty much everyone uses) had been blocked off with signs telling us to go use a parking garage instead.  We had to go find street parking instead. Anyone know why this might be? The city get sick of people parkin' for free?

Maybe because of the circus? Hopefully it is going to be graded off and paved but I doubt it. I was told the lot was privately owed but I have never bothered to check. It will be interesting to see what happens there. It is a popular parking area.

Yeah, this really sucked. It didn't give any explanation as to why you couldn't park. If it stays closed, we'll just have to start parking at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe, which would be cool, but I'd like to know why we can't park at the bridge anymore.
