Subject: Olympia/Lacey area - Anyone training or know of a club
I am starting over again Undecided  I did the Federal Escape Triathlon in 2010.  I would like to start training for the 2013 season.  Im pretty much starting at the beginning again.  At the moment I've been training by myself other than taking some strength training classes at a local gym. Anyone out there interested in training together or know of any clubs in the area?

Thank you for the response.  I did look at their site but from the limited information on training dates, it seemed like they only train in Tacoma YMCA, and Bonney Lake.  With work, I couldnt make it to either in time.  I have always trained by myself but I really dont like taking the trails from Oly to Rainier alone.  Plus, it is just motivating to train with someone else.  I'll keep searching.  Anyway, thanks again!

Hi -

Not sure if you're looking for men or women to train with, but there is a small group on Facebook called Olympia Triathlon Training Group if you're interested. It's mostly women, but a friendly bunch and they occasionally try to get together for some training. Suzanne from Just Keep Swimming is one of them. I'm a loner with training so I haven't trained with them, but I know some of the people in the group and they are very nice. I've also heard there is a pocket of people within the Oly Runners group (affiliated with South Sound Running, I think) that gets together for triathlon training. I ran into a couple of them doing an open water swim in Ward Lake last year.

If you send along some more details about the type of people you're looking to train with (gender, speed, etc.), I might be able to point you towards some specific people. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to broadcast details.

I know this isn't a group...but briderdt and I live in Puyallup and I know I'd be willing to drive down south a bit. I am super slow though :-)
