1439 | Subject: RE: 30 runs in 30 days - who's with us? Day 1, 10.1 miles at a 7:09 pace. Travel yesterday ended my short streak I had going. I was exhausted from the weekend and did not want to get up early and run before we went to the airport. A few hour delay on the flight leaving, terrible roads to drive home from the airport on and the slowest service for a late supper maybe ever prevented me from running before midnight. We did not get home until 00:30 and our flight was suppose to leave at 12:45 in the afternoon. I had panned on running when I got home after setting for most of the day, between the flight and drive home. What should have taken about 3 hours for the drive turned into almost 5 hours, throw in 1.5 hours just to eat. Oh well, we had a great time in Florida, gained new beautiful daughter and wonderful new in-laws. |

I am just surprised how quickly I felt recovered from it. I have also gotten back into the pool and am tempting not to drown. So far so good. |

Tuesday - #548 - 4 miles of grueling speed work, and then 1 easy hour on the bike It's recovery week in my bike training plan, which syncs up nicely for the Groundhog 1/6 Marathon I'm doing this Saturday night. ~4.4 miles outside and I am hoping we get some bad weather in the next few days to make it more fun, but unfortunately it doesn't look like it. |

Extreme Veteran 737 | Subject: RE: 30 runs in 30 days - who's with us? #347 - 3.7 - I know I'll sound like a wuss in this company, but I really dragged the last mile of this run. I guess I'm just built to run in the morning. #348 - 3.3 - Got out to my favorite set of local trails for the first time in months and discovered someone had finally dragged away the derelict car that's been there (apparently) for decades. Funny, the dog is looking at you like you did something with it. Not much running for me this week, went away for 2 days with the kids for my younger daughters birthday. I also went to NYC for a night out. I'll call it a recovery week since the last 3 days I've been way off plan. I'd like to get a solid long run in tomorrow and save the mileage for the week somewhat. I do have to work tomorrow, so I guess I'll see how it plays out. First week of my 12 week Boston plan was a bust. #827- 6.2 mi #828- 8 mi #829-10 mi #830- 2 mi #831- 2 mi #832- 2 mi |

It wasn't a big deal to skip it, I think I needed a few easy days anyways. Originally posted by MSU_Brad I am traveling this week a bit, and brought my bike and my trainer with me. Saturday - #552 - 4.4 miles outdoors in the Groundhog 1/6 Marathon. It was on some slippery trails, and boy did it play havoc with my sore hamstring. Sunday - #553 - 2 miles shortly before the Super Bowl |

1053 | Subject: RE: 30 runs in 30 days - who's with us? #833- 18 mi Wife and kids went to a Superbowl party, I didn't get off work until just after 6pm and probably would have missed at least the first quarter if I also went, so I decided no go on the party and went home and ran! Started running just about 3 minutes after kickoff and went through most of the third quarter. Maybe next year I'll stay home again and run a Superbowl marathon. Goal is to run a marathon before the end of the game. I didn't think about it yesterday, but I'm sure I could have made it. Maybe even set up a snack stand with chips and beer. #834- 10 mi Felt good after yesterday and wanted to start running more longer runs back to back. Again on the treadmill, it is a sloppy mess out there today. |

Now its going to become a tradition! |
