Anyone know if you can change display on the 305 in multi sport mode? If so, how? I can't find anything in the manual or on dcrainmaker.com. Thanks,-Chad

Yes you can, but I'm not sure how you mean.

Multi sport just has it's screen. So in MSM, you still have the 4 screens that sport had, plus the MSM screen.

You can change any of the 4 sport mode screens how you like.

You can change screens in MSM to what you want, or reconfigure with settings if you felt like doing that during the event.

thanks for the reply!  what i mean is my MSM default does not have pace on run or speed on the bike.  i want to change/add this field to the MSM display (instead of overall time, overall distance and the other field that says "BIKE" or "RUN").

I have discussed this before on here. I like my 305 for the money it works great.  After FAILING with the multisport mode in 2 Tris this spring, I recently did the "manual" multisport mode.  I don't have my booklet in front of me here at work, but it's in there right in same pages as MSM.  You MANUALLY hold the mode button for a second and the choices pop up to switch between sports- KEEPING your screens the way you want. I could not stand the way MSM would just be a running clock with no pace/speed/distance etc between segments.

So, I use the Manual mode which is explained in the booklet.  Also, I upgraded my strap to the thick velcro strap sold on Amazon specific for this watch and love it. (Ripped old one getting a wetsuit off- my fault totally).

If you do figure out how to make MSM screens more specific/better as you wish, then please post update so I can learn too!

The manual method is easy and does not take any effort really, but it would be nice to bang through everything with a button push including T1 and T2 etc.

I as of yet have seen no need/difference much between 305 and 310xt and don't want to pay 450$ for the 910xt etc yet. So, i'm rolling with the 305 for now. I even swim with it with no problems (I do not expect to get any meaningful distance or HRM in water, just time).

No, you can't change MSM screen. But it is just one screen and you have 4 more in each sport. I never found it to be a bother. I had one place keeping my race time, but used my sport screens for data just like I do in training. And I was not switching all over the place... basically used my main sport screen like always.

I tried the manual MSM and it did great! It's not as easy as auto, but it's not difficult and worth the effort to me to get pace, etc. Thanks for the advice!

What am I missing?

Why can't you just go to your screen with pace when using MSM?
