Century close to Chicago area this week end ??

I'm pretty sure most of the century rides happened already.  The last ones were a couple weeks ago as far as I know.

I will be out there running with my buddies this weekend.  We will make sure to run 5 wide on the path since we know you'll be biking.  Just kidding of course.  Bundle up.  It is going to be a cold weekend.

I'll probably head out on Saturday for a longer 4-5 (maybe 6) hour ride as well.  Let me know if you want to hang out; might start in Oak Park and go from here out west. 

@Meulen, gonna try to make it out with you guys on Sunday as well!

thanks coach!   I'll keep you in the loop on our start time.  Saturday you've got me doing my T-Pace testing and a run.  I don't think I'll make it out to your ride in Oak Park unless I get done with those early enough.  I may, however, hit some MTB trails later!!!

If you come out Sunday....

I just made an executive decision to make it a 9:30am start time.  We usually do 35 miles at around a 17-18mph pace on the official ride.  I will be personally doing another loop before this ride at 7:30am.  This loop is usually 18-20mph.  The 9:30 ride is a no drop ride.  But the pre-loop I need to stick to a time schedule due to the fact I work for LTF leading the 9:30 loop.  So I have to stick to pretty strict time schedule to be back on time.

I think Tony should take us to Palos Woods Saturday afternoon, and show off some of his mad Xterra ridn' skillz!!!

@playmobil31  pace on Saturday won't be that hard.  I'm thinking probably at least 40-50 miles, maybe 3 hours.  Been off the bike for TOO LONG, so it's gonna hurt just getting back... 

Thinking a 8am start should be good leaving out of Oak Park, back in time for lunch.  We usually do post-ride coffee also.

@Meulen - Sweet!  9:30 works great.  Me and one of the guys you met at the century are going to ride out from Oak Park, meet you out there, ride with your group then head home.  Gonna be a long day!

Important question: Is it a group ride ? (ie. road or tri bike ok ?)

On Saturday probably only 2-3 of us, Tri-Bike should be fine.  I'll try to hang with you for 4-5hours!
