Subject: 12 months in
3 sprints under my belt and active member of a new Tri club. Loving it. Got new members in the club and my recent experiences as a newbie are useful. Based in north Northumberland. Looking forward to beating last years times and overcoming a recent mtb injury. (Brake lever through knee). Hope to pick up lots of tips particularly on cycling.

Tip number 1 for cycling: try to avoid taking breake levers though the knee! Laughing

And hills.  Lots of hill.  Actually - every week during the race season, I either do a hill work out or a speed session.

Also - give some thoughts to joining a mentor group that should be started up next week.
