So does anyone use an elevation mask for training?  What are your thoughts on using an elevation mask, Pros, Cons?.....

I'm pretty sure your odds of someone calling the cops on you is roughly 50/50.

Alternately you could probably put couple pairs of tube socks over your head and get a similar effect.

No benefit to training with one of these. Depsite the name, it does not simulate being at altitude as it doesn't change the partial pressure of oxygen. Rather it just makes it harder to breathe which doesn't not appear to offer any benefit to endurance athletes.

A 1 cent straw does the same thing a whole lot cheaper plus you can get them in cool colors. You can even get fancy and get the bendy ones!

Nothing like looking like Bane. Similar thing was the PowerLung. I have one of those and was real consistent with it and will say, though, is that I did notice benefits in breath volume. Huge assistance in 200/100/50 free, I don't know about the longer events...

Oh yeah just so there's no confusion: it didn't necessarily increase lung volume. What it did do was make it easier to inhale and exhale larger gulps of air in the same amount of time while swimming (stronger diaphragm)
