Afternoon Ghoulies!

I got home late yesterday, in time for Dock Night. Today I had to go back to the gun range to observe sampling. It was a nice drive, but after driving all day yesterday and being behind at work, I would have been nice to do it another day.

The Mountain Biking weekend was great. Lots of fun, mountain biking and laughing. Now I have to regroup and get my foo-foo together for my upcoming tris. This weekend is my very first metric century ride. My tushie hurts just thinking of it.

62 miles????  Ouch!  How long will that take?

It is hot and humid here today, and tomorrow, and Friday.

I drove to work through a thunderstorm this morning. It rained HARD for awhile.

We had pretty amazing storms last night. It cooled things off for a bit. I'll enjoy it while it lasts. I need to suck it up and turn on the air conditioning.  It was too hot to think yesterday (92 when I looked) ugh!

Good morning Ghoulies.  WFH today writing 5 staff evaluations.  UGH!

Robin - glad that you had fun with your mountain bike weekend.  Enjoy the metric this weekend.  I did a 100 miles once, never again.  I can handle a metric century.

Ann - good luck with the fostering.  Sounds like a great plan.  

Dee - Love watching dogs at play.  They are so carefree.

me - my knee hurts.  I think 8 hours in the garden on Sunday did my right knee in.  It hurts going up and down stairs, getting up from a chair, ouch.  I'm hoping that it is not major and just stressed out from the weekend.  Resting it this week.

Ann: when will you know when you will get your first dog? I would love to do that, but with three cats... it is hard.

I have no idea. Right now the whole process is a PITA! There were about 9 emails back and forth between the person working my application yesterday, all about heart worm preventative. My SIL works at the vet, so when I need it she just brings it home for me. Apparently it isn't on my vet records though and I was getting grief for not having my dogs on anything. Finally last night I sent a picture of the box of stuff I have, with the dates of when it was given. That's the best I can do.

Storms last night. Storms again today. We are now in a flood watch. It may have been warmer in PA last week than at the beach in NC, but at least there we got to see the sun!

Well hello Kendra!

Summer basketball starts tonight for Keri. Caleb's summer soccer workouts for the school start on Monday. While Caleb is playing soccer, Keri and I are going to work on running the Turkey Trot course. She wants to at minimum be in the top 3 this year, but she'd really like to win, I think she can.

Saturday night Caleb and I are going to a semi-pro soccer game with some people from his team. I need to find a white shirt, it is a white out, and after the game there are fireworks.

So, yesterday I got 4 of the 5 evaluations done.  Need to go and hide somewhere to get the 5th one done today and to review all the others to make sure I did not go nuts at some point yesterday.  

Course starts on the basketball court below the playground. Once you are off the court you are on grass. You go up a hill, take a left when you get to the pole just before the trees. Run mostly flat for 100ish yards and come around the pole at the end of the practice football field. So back another 100ish yards mostly flat, around the cone and make a right and go back down the hill toward where you started. Then up a small hill, onto the driveway, take a right and you're on the track. Run as hard as you can about 3/4 of the way around the track.

We won't have the track available, so we're going to substitute out through the blacktop, hit and around the large middle school parking lot. All total the course is just a hair under a mile if I remember correctly.

You can go to my house, should be quiet.

Happy FFFFriday!!!

I am WFH today. I am exhausted. There is flooding. I have the pressure of this avocado hanging over me. It's a lot.

I only have to work until 9:00 anyway. Later this morning Caleb and I are going to get him a pair of running shoes. Then we are getting lunch, and groceries, and doing some other shopping. Good times for a 14 year old boy.

I just transferred my MCM registration to my nephew. I really do want to run a marathon someday, but this isn't the year. He ran it last year, and he really wanted to run it again this year. My sister and I had discussed it, and she discussed it with her husband. I gave it to him as his birthday present. I'm hoping to go down that weekend and hop around DC with my sister cheering him on.

MORNING!

I am excited.. it could be A-Day for Ann! I am off to start my chores and appointments. The good news is at the end of the day, we are going to a friends house for dinner.

Ann, maybe you should sign up for a 10K or HM? That is a worthy goal that would be reachable. That was a good use of your MCM spot. That is a great race to be a spectator at.

Wish  me luck on my ride tomorrow. I am nervous!
