Subject: Sub 40 min 10k
I am currently running in at around 58 - 55 for 10k run my goal is get in at around 45 min my Dream Goal is to hit the sub 40.
so i do this i am now starting to run 4 times a week.
2 workouts are on Speed Training which are being done on a Treadmill
and the other 2 are Long Distance from 10 - 15 km
i found this 8 week program.
would this do if i did each one twice a week i did week 1 twice, so Monday i will be Doing week 2 and Thursday i will do it again.
Week #1: 6 x 1M
3-minute jog between 1M repeats
Week #2: 10-12 x 400m
Run the 400m repeats at 5K race pace; 200m jog between
Week #3: 2M + 4 x 1M
5-minute jog between 2M repeats, 3-minute jog between 1M repeats
Week #4: 3M Tempo Run or 5K Race

Week #5: 2 x 2M + 2 x 1M
5-minute jog between 2M repeats, 3-minute jog between 1M repeats
Week #6: 20-24 x 200m
Run the 200m repeats at 5K race pace; 200m jog between
Week #7: 3 x 2M
Run the 2M repeats at goal 10K race pace; 5 minutes jog between
Week #8: RACE: 10K
