Subject: Steelhead 70.3
Hey guys. Doing steelhead in 3 weeks in Benton Harbor MI. Will be 70.3 #8. I have never raced there and will be going up this Saturday to ride/ run the course. Anyone know of there is somewhere to stop on the bike to refill bottles... Gas station or something? Just need 1 stop around 1/2 way of the bike. Thanks

You're pretty much riding through Orchard country and from what I recall there's not really any place directly on the course to stop. There's a state park once you turn back onto Blue Star Hwy around mile 40 that probably has water but not certain.

I live in the area but unfortunately there are no real easy watering stations. There is one park heading back to Benton Harbor but not sure if there is potable water. Are you staying in Benton Harbor?

yes there is one little mom and pop store around the 25 mile mark. Its on the corner of CR687 and 42nd ave. I've stopped there many times for Gatorade & granola bars. That's really about it. Enjoy the ride, it's supposed to be decent weather this weekend up here.
