I cannot say enough good things about my local bike shop.

They had special ordered a Trek 1000c in a smaller size, and the customer backed out of the deal. My wife was eyeing it. The shop said they'd make us a deal on it and let her take it out for a few days to test ride. After about 75 miles and facing the reality that I wasn't going to get her off it, I went back to the shop to finalize the deal. They knocked about 20 -25% off the sticker price. Needless to say, I'll be going back when its time for me to upgrade.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that they do the basic service on our bikes (we bought two mtn. bikes previously) at no cost and offer 20% off accessories (cages, bottles, helmets, etc.) when you buy a new bike.

I'll drive by two different bike shops to get to the one I go to. The people there are always friendly and helpful, even though I really do not know anything about bikes and tubes and stuff. They know the right questions to ask me to get the info they need.

Good customer service is such a joy to find! Keep going back and "rewarding" them with your support.

Karen,

which one do you go to? I'm partial to Santa Rosa Cyclery...the guys over there have been nothing but supportive and understanding with my gaggle of newbie questions, stupid gaffs and panicked phone calls....They never make me feel stupid and are nothing but patient and supportive and don't laugh when I tell them I'm doing triathlons......

I've heard good things about Nor Cal as well but had a bad experience there back when it was Dave's....would be curious who you frequent?
