Who's hoping to go or is already confirmed to go? I only beat my standard by 7:56 at Boston last year so I'm waiting to register (and hopefully gain entry) tomorrow. I have a feeling it's going to go to a short open registration period this year. I'm already excited, I need to get some revenge on that course

sadly i was injured last year so I'm not qualified for this year.  But- I've got a December marathon on my calendar, and I'm hoping to smash through that BQ time as well as my PR like a hot knife through butter.  My running is better than ever.  Just hope that I don't come up lame in the next 12 weeks.

Missed my qualifying time in June marathon but giving it another shot in November. Of course that pushes me back to 2016 (I'll be 62--yikes), but I am bound and determined to get it done. Qualified once 23 years ago and couldn't go because of Navy and parenting commitments. This is one of my bucket list items now. Good luck to you all registering this year. I think from what I remembered from last year that if you are at least a couple of minutes below qual time, you will get in.

I signed up for Ironman Frankfurt, next year July - and I am very excited about it. I originally planned to run my first Marathon in the middle of September, but am not sure if this is wise.

I just ran the Boston Marathon under nine minute miles, can I run eight minute miles for my half Ironman training runs? Or should I go slower?

I am running Boston in April and Ironman Lake Placid is in July. I have been told that it is ambitious to think about doing an IM so close to a marathon due to the recovery time. Any suggestions?
