Made some component updates to the road and Tri bike for this season. Did a set of Vision wheels for both, new crank on the Tri bike, new bars, stem, and brakes on the road bike. Took the Tri bike out for a shake down ride yesterday (first TT is in a week) and set a PR on a local hard climb. The FSA crank is a lot stiffer than my SRAM Force crank that was on there and the 52/36 chain combo is great for me. Not sure I'll pop for a disc on the Tri bike, the cover works for me just fine. Did the 40mm wheels over deeper ones because every deeper wheel I've tried on that bike really gets blown around. Same wheels on the road don't, must be some fork and frame + wheel interaction.

Sweet rides. I dig the consistency with the black/white (and a few dashes of red) colour scheme.

How long have you had your disc cover & how much use have you gotten out of it?

Your post reminded me that I want that upgrade for this season as well.

This is my second one and it will see its first race this coming weekend. First one saw a few 70.3s and bunch of Sprints along with a few TT's. My old wheels where 50mm deep, so I got a new cover to fit the new wheels.

Ah, so it's otherwise still in service. Good to know of the longevity.

Thanks.

Awesome you have great taste!!! Love seeing another argon 18 guy. I ride a E118 Tri bike and just upgrade my roadie to a Venge. Just got her yesterday and rode it for the first time.

Nice, my Track bike is an Argon E99. The Venge is fun to ride, I had a Jamis Xenith SL before and the Venge is a lot stiffer and more responsive.

Nice!

I've been close to getting a set of Flo 30 rims a few times to do a wheel build with. Sold my Flo 60 set to help fund the Vision wheels

I am in the market for a new road bike, at several local bike stores I will test ride several bikes. Other than basic fit and components, how should I compare them while doing a test ride?

My expectations for the quality of this years’ Triathlon world championship were fulfilled. This was because of the superb location that is like no other along with having the top triathletes present.

There is a marvelous destiny out there waiting for you too, but only if you are willing to take chances and put yourself on the line.
