So I was looking over my past 3 races to see what if any improvement I've made. Let me tell you that I am completely amazed. I don't feel any faster but I guess the numbers don't lie. Check this out... (scroll down, not sure why there's all this blank space in the text)

Event Swim

(min/100m)
Bike

(km/h)
Run

(min/km)
Binbrook Try-a-Tri (June 18) 4:36 28.1 7:30
Toronto Waterfront Try-a-Tri (July 16) 3:55 25.3 6:21
Northern Orillia Try-a-Tri (August 20) 3:07 24.6 5:47

I'm really astounded by the improvement. The bike pace doesn't look good at all but I'll attribute that to a crash in the second event and the hills and headwind in the third event, whereas the other two courses were flat. But the swim and run pace improvement...wow.

I am especially happy to see my swim times drop. I mean, they are nowhere near where some of the other competitors are but they're getting better and that's all that counts.

All of this in just 6 months from a guy who could not run for more than 2 minutes on the treadmill before he started. The human body is an amazing thing.

Wow...that is really amazing and quite rewarding.  I love to go back to old logs and remember how much I freaked out.  I can remember taking a day off from work in the spring after buying a bike and doing 19 miles.  I was estatic...I couldn't believe I went so far, lol

I started this season with the goal of competing in 3 sprints.  And I would have been happy with that.  But I have a HIM in 5 weeks and I signed up for IM CDA next year!!!  I am loving it.

 Keep up the good work!!!

That is awesome!  I would love to get down to a sub 6min km pace during a triathlon.  Good work!
