Subject: Length of time to recover from patellar tendonitis?
For anyone who has had patellar tendonitis in the past, how long did it take you to recover and get back to your training schedule?

I started having knee pain at Christmas time and immediately stopped running to give it a rest. This week, I stated therapy with stretches and decline eccentric squats. I'm just wondering how long I should expect it to take before I start running again.

Thanks!

It took over two months after I started physio when I had it last winter. I was started with just easy lowering step ups and clamshells and couldn't do squats for at least 8 weeks so you may not be as bad if you are already doing squats

Frequently it is possible to continue to train despite an injury, but it can be difficult to know what injuries you can safely train through and how to train without doing more harm.
