Subject: GPS Watch ideas?
I have been draining myself trying to find the best GPS watch, figured that i would put it in the hands of the BT community.
I am looking to spend $200, any suggestions on the best. I would like one with cadence, however that could be added later.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I have been researching the same decision lately. I don't know what is available for triathlon / multisport watches in that price range but there area lot of details going on now. There is a pretty good list of the holiday deals at http://www.dcrainmaker.com/holidays2015. You can also checkout his product comparison calculator at the link on the right side of this page.

I just bought the fenix 2, it's on for a heck of a deal on amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Fenix-Performance-Bundle-Monitor/dp/B0...

$220 for the special edition base model on that link, but if you're willing to pay $257, you can get the heart rate strap too ( unless you already have an ant+ HRM )

A little more than you wanted to pay, but it's a huge discount, and a fantastic watch.

Dunno how much longer it will last, these cyber week deals seem to be coming and going a bit, the REGULAR base edition ( non special edition ) WAS priced at $199 for a while, but that model is now at $299

For under $200 your probably looking at the Garmin 310 or the Suunto Ambit 2s, both are good watches that you will not be disappointed with.

However you may be able to find a deal on higher end watches or by a higher end watch used.

I'm with Quigley!

I got the FENIX2 with heart rate strap and love everything it does!

Love it!

That's a good deal on Amazon!

I recently picked up the Garmin Vivoactive w/HRM for $180 on ebay. It is working very well for my needs.

I have a Fenix 2 also. It is more buggy than my old Garmin 305 ever was. Sometimes it just freezes, and it's hard for me to remember which button is the soft reset button. But the data I get is fantastic, and it doesn't feel as bulky as the 305. I like that it does the laps for swimming, as well as the run cadence and vertical oscillation in my run stride.

Amazon.com just dropped the price on the base model ( not special edition ) to $199 but are out of stock but will ship when it comes in at the same price if ordered.

I still think WITH the HRM is the way to go though

310xt is nice, it's the one I was using before, but getting pretty old now!
