Good morning BT!  Still in a wet, soggy desert!

4:30am:  60 minute run:  15 min WU/7x400m w/400m recovery jogs/cool down run

5:30am:  :40 minutes strength

Burchib...I'm a little younger than you--46 in May--but YOU give me hope that I can continue this well into my 50s and beyond!  I started working out in the morning after I had my two daughters.  I didn't want my training to interfere with my mom duties so I figured I'd start working out early while they were still sleeping.  That habit has continued for 15 years--the more endurance events I became involved with just meant the earlier I had to get up!  During the school week I'm in bed by 9--my girls and hubby are more night owls so where once I was putting the girls to bed now they come up to say good night to me.  I keep it pretty routine during the week--a little more lax on the weekends.  It truly has become just what I do and I wouldn't have it any other way.  Oh, the KK I refer to is my Kirk Kinetic bike trainer--love that thing.  I am extremely limited for road biking where I live so I rely heavily (about 95%!) on my bike trainer for workouts.

Hoping the rain will stop today so I can get out to Blue Lake to swim after school!

Have a great day, Peeps!

Day off here, unless you count a pretty epic trip to Singapore that involved hauling Rover (bike) in his box out to the main road 1/2 mile away, numerous snafus involving hotel transport (Rover is now bike non grata on the shuttle due to new regulations), assembling Rover and taking him to a nearby shop for a checkup, plus finally a leisurely 15 or 20 minute paddle in the hotel pool. Rover and I are now enjoying a peaceful evening together. (He's not allowed on the shuttle anymore, but he is allowed in my room.)

I had vegetable biryani for dinner and molten chocolate lava cake for dessert. The places were right next door to each other. Only in Singapore! Planning an easy run and swim tomorrow.

Nope. Racing Singapore Sprint Tri on Sunday. It is our school break though so headed over a few days early for shopping and eating.. Grr... Hoping to do a short run and swim this AM and it is storming. I need to get started in the next few minutes or will not be able to catch the shuttle downtown for shopping later! Guess I am less likely to get killed running?

I'm on the other side of the college-student desk. I'm the one with the red pen in my hand. Those of us with schedules that change from day to day actually have an advantage, I think.
